Kids hop for Easter eggs in Ira Township, New Baltimore

The Veterans of Foreign Wars is having its annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday.

The 7th annual Old Fashioned Easter event put on by the Town of Unicoi History Group held at the Bogart-Bowman Cabin.

The hunt will take place on 16 April from 9am to 1pm, and everyone is welcome.

Broadway Ave., Tyler, Eggstreme Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast, 10:30 a.m. sharp.

Lakeside United Methodist Church, Easter egg hunt, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Tinsley Park, 6600 N Independence Ave.

Egg hunts go from ten until noon Saturday at the Holyoke Heritage State Park, with four different hunts for four different age groups ranging from toddlers to twelve year olds. Due to generous donations from local businesses and residents, the park plans to hide several thousand eggs this year. There will be two grand prizes in each category. All kids, ages 1 - 10 are invited.

Chapman is appreciative of Lions Club members and the Manor at Salem Woods for stuffing all the eggs. Kids could collect up to 12 eggs and exchange them for gifts after it was over. In addition, each child will receive a ticket for prize drawings along with a gift bag with candy and other items so no child leaves without something.

The parish is about 2 1/2 hours from New Orleans, if you're thinking about going to check the festivals out in person.

Listen to WJBD/WSIQ for any changes in the hunt due to the weather.
