The Easter Bunny will also be available for pictures, and the day ends with more tethered hot air balloon rides from 4 to 6 p.m. Egg hunts are included in the cost of admission to Callaway Gardens ($10 to $20), but the hot air balloon rides have an extra fee. Past year the inaugural event raised almost $1,000 for the shelter located at 371 Ward St., Port Hope, said general manager Kate Lennan.
Mark and Brianna Brejcha brought their children Ethan (5) and Madelyn (3) to the egg hunt.
"We ask parents to contain their children so that they do not run out into the egg area until their respective age group is told to go", organizers say.
Pallion Traders are working in partnership with the Parker Trust and Pallion Action Group to organise an Easter Egg Hunt on Wednesday 12 April, as part of family activities over the school holidays.

On the day of the hunt, plastic eggs will be hidden around the Cobourg Dog Park, 777 Ontario St., Cobourg, and each egg contains a number representing a chance to win hundreds of prizes.
Today, Easter egg hunts are a tradition in many towns in southern Minnesota and around the country as well. This annual egg hunt will feature more than 8,000 eggs.
