Shania Twain comes to ‘The Voice’ as Mentor

She has had intensive voice therapy over the past few years to relearn how to sing. "Tune in on Monday 24th April at 8pm ET/PT", she wrote.

Twain has sold more than 100 million albums and remains the top-selling female country artist of all time.

Twain recently announced she will soon be appearing as a mentor this month.

The singer has been working in the studio with Jake Gosling (Ed Sheeran, One Direction), Ron Aniello (Bruce Springsteen), Jacquire King (Kings of Leon), and songwriter-producer Matthew Koma to put the finishing touches on her highly anticipated record that is due out late spring.

Besides Twain making a splash on the popular vocal competition program, country music star Luke Bryan served as the team mentor this season for coach Blake Shelton, while Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and Garth Brooks served as key advisors during the show's eleventh season. In a slight shift from past seasons, Twain will train and prepare the final 12 contestants. According to a network press release, Shania is set to guide the Top 12 artists who will be revealed through real-time voting during the live playoff rounds airing April 17 and April 18.

The Voice airs Monday and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC. It will be her first since 2002's UP! The website began as a fun project in 2013 to one of the top independent news sites.
