Russian Federation relations may be at 'all-time low'

Russia, Syria and Iran strongly warned the United States Friday against launching new strikes on Syria and called for an global probe into last week's chemical attack there.

Taking these past developments into account, it is reasonable for Russia's responsibility to be questioned.

The toxic gas attack on April 4, which killed scores of children, prompted the United States to launch missile strikes on a Syrian air base and widened a rift between the United States and Russian Federation, a close Syrian ally.

"Right now we're not getting along with Russian Federation at all".

Trump's comments on the state of U.S.

The men know each other well from Tillerson's days as Exxon Mobil CEO.

"It is clear to us the reign of the Assad family is coming to an end", he told reporters in Italy.

Tillerson said the United States is confident in its assessment that Syrian government forces used chemical weapons in the bombing on Khan Sheikhoun and alleged that Syria has used such weapons more than 50 times in the past.

Jens Stoltenberg, who heads up the 28-member North Atlantic Treaty Organisation alliance, said that "any use of chemical weapons is unacceptable. those accountable must be held responsible".

Guest host Nicolle Wallace pressed Earnest claiming, "You can't, you're saying that we wouldn't have gained anything in terms of our credibility in the world by saying something and then doing what we said we would do?" Putin's decision to host Tillerson signalled Moscow's intent to maintain communication with the USA even as the countries bash each other publicly in louder and louder tones.

Tillerson reiterated the US view that President Bashar Assad of Syria, Russia's chief Middle East ally, was responsible for the chemical weapons assault in northern Syria on April 4 that left more than 80 people dead, sickened hundreds and outraged the world. But going it alone means going it with lots of other nations, ' Trump said, without providing further explanation.

"I would like to think that [Russia] didn't know, but certainly they could have".

"I confirm that we'll continue cleaning the Syrian land from terrorism", he said.

"Russia is ready for that, ready for dialogue with the U.S.in various spheres, and not only for dialogue but also for joint activities in both countries' interest". Any expectations of an easy rapport have crashed into reality amid the nasty back-and-forth over Syria and ongoing US investigations into Russia's activity connected to the USA presidential election. "We will continue to work with our worldwide partners to put an end to the use of chemical weapons".

Allegations of collusion between Russian officials and Trump campaign associates also have weakened Trump's ability to sweeten any offer for greater cooperation, such as by easing economic sanctions on Moscow related to its 2014 annexation of Ukarine's Crimea region and support for pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine.
