Much like its first two seasons, The Magicians will be returning for 13 new episodes when it debuts its third season, according to a report from Entertainment Weekly. For The Magicians which is set to air their second season finale in less than a week, SyFy has announced that they will be bringing back the show for a third season. Here's a sneak peak of tonight's episode.
The Magicians, based on the bestselling fantasy trilogy by Lev Grossman, follows Quentin Coldwater and his Brakebills peers as they delve into a magical world called Fillory. For the season it's averaging a 0.3 in the 18-49 demographic (on par with Season 1) and 810,000 viewers (up 4.5 percent). Stella Maeve, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman and Summer Bishil also star, while Supernatural's Sera Gamble serves as showrunner and executive producer. It's nominated in the same category this year, with the awards being handed out on June 28. Starring Aaron Paul, Hugh Dancy and Michelle Monaghan, the series is announced to be renewed on the streaming service on the same day as season 2 is made available on Hulu.
