Delta cancels 275 more flights days after storm disruptions

The string of cancellations has continued from when the storm hit on Wednesday, with approximately 275 flights cancelled on Saturday morning, per Delta. Delta DAL, -0.80% has a strong reputation for being on time and cancels fewer flights than its rivals.
The company is issuing refunds for canceled trips, but the airline has limited seats available to book people on new flights because of the busy spring break travel season, Delta said Saturday.

He says employees ordered 60 pizzas and 20 trays of chicken biscuits to feed more than 300 customers in Panama City, Florida.
Many people opted for different transportation options or booked flights on other airlines. That can generate frustration among some travelers, since their itineraries are disrupted before the first snowflake falls.
Gil West, Delta's Chief Operating Officer, told customers, "We are grateful for your patience and want you to know that we, as always, learn from these experiences. When this happens, unfortunately, further delays and cancellations result", West said in a statement. "I was scheduled to go from Vegas to Atlanta on Wednesday". But in such a situation, "it typically takes an airline three days to a week for all the disruption to basically flow out of the system".
