Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Officially File for Divorce

Jennifer Garner has filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, multiple sources in Hollywood have confirmed.

The actors, both 44, married in June 2005 and in June 2015 announced their intention to divorce, but continued to live in the same home and take family vacations. The couple have three minor children - Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Sam, 5, - and according to the court papers. TMZ reports that they filed together - without a lawyer - and they're seeking joint custody of their three kids.

The couple broke off their 10-year relationship in the summer of 2015 amid rumors that Affleck had an affair with the nanny, something he has repeatedly denied and something Garner has said " had nothing to do with [the] decision. The date of separation, as well as the division of property and any spousal support, is still to be determined, reported People magazine.

Jen and Ben were spotted together in March 26, the first time after Ben announced his completion of treatment for alcohol addiction.

The actors met while making 2003's "Daredevil", in which they both played superheroes. "I've had legitimate lows, movies I didn't like, and I'm very proud of the movies I directed and so on". Mr Affleck is worth an estimated $105 million, while Ms Garner is worth $60 million.

The stars have remained on good terms since their split and Jennifer told US TV show Today past year she is still "great friends" with Argo director despite the breakup. However, here is the sticky part of their current divorce situation, Ben still lives in the guest house behind Jen and the kids. "We don't know what the future's going to hold, but every step we take is one that prioritizes our children".
