"As night falls, a magical holiday transformation of Hogwarts castle will take place right before guests' eyes". Similarly, the stores at the Potter-themed park will alter their inventories with unique holiday food, and a new slate of entertainment will descend upon the park, presumably so cheery in nature that it would warm the heart of even the grubbliest of planks.
Universal Orlando announced today that it's bringing a new Christmas experience to both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. Universal wowed reporters with a projection mapping show on Universal Studios Hollywood's Hogwarts castle when that land opened past year, and fans have been begging for Universal to make that kind of show a regular feature in the park for paying visitors. The festivities start at night with Hogwarts castle as projection mapping and special effects will cover the structure in memorable Christmas moments from the Harry Potter series.
In addition, Universal is retooling its holiday parade and rechristening it as "Universal's Holiday Parade Featuring Macy's". Get ready for to see some of your favorite characters from Minions, Madagascar and Shrek dancing on new floats or flying over Universal Studios. Check out a video of what's to come below, and go to Universal Orlando Resort's website for details on how to visit here.
"Guests can now book a special vacation package to experience all of Universal's epic Holidays entertainment".
Additional news about the Wizarding World and details about the new parade will be released "soon", Universal Orlando says. The celebrations will run daily from November 18, 2017 - January 6, 2018.
Both the parade and Harry Potter events will be included in regular admission.
