A 7 p.m. candlelight vigil will be held at North Park Elementary Tuesday.
"She tried to hide it, but it's hard for her so we're just here for her trying to help her cope", Johnson's sister, Mercedes, said.
"He's up and watching cartoons", said San Bernardino City Unified Superintendent Dale Marsden.
The ex-wife of a Navy veteran sought a restraining order against him after he threatened to kill her and her children and then take his own life years before he opened fire at a San Bernardino elementary school, killing his new wife and a student in a murder-suicide.
Investigators found a note that made reference to the relationship, feeling dishonored and "moving forward with no regrets", Burguan said. This time - a teacher - Karen Smith - and her 8-year-old student - Jonathan Martinez - both killed by a crazed man with a gun.
Smith's mom tells PEOPLE, "She decided she needed to get away from him".
Smith moved out of their home in March and went to live with other family, he said.
Although the investigation is still ongoing and will be for some time, authorities released additional details surrounding the shooting at a San Bernardino elementary school Monday morning.
"Unlike disorders that can make connecting with your child hard, children with Williams syndrome tend to be social, friendly and endearing", Superintendent Dale Marsden said, apparently reading from a description on the Williams Syndrome Association website.
Without saying a word, Anderson took just a few steps into Classroom B1, pulled out a Smith & Wesson.357 Magnum revolver and fired off 10 shots, reloading with a speed-loader midway through. "Her whole life was surrounded around kids and helping them, and helping them build a future".
An employee there recognized him as Smith's husband, Marsden said, and after asking him to sign in, allowed him to walk alone to her classroom, which is not uncommon for family members of teachers and other employees, he said.
"She was a wonderful, God-fearing woman", she said. Jonathan Martinez, 8, a student who happened to be near Smith, died at Loma Linda University Medical Center, and another student, a 9-year-old boy, was hospitalized and was reported to be in stable condition.
Anderson had posted that he "loved being married to Karen Smith-Anderson!" - calling her "an angel".
"I'm saddened for the families of the teacher and the little boy", San Bernardino resident Gina Villegas tells CBS2's Danielle Nottingham.
He said Anderson had faced a weapons charge, and those involving domestic violence and theft from 1982 to 2013.
"My honest and heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by this heinous act", Aguilar said.
The school is closed through the week, according to school district officials.
Students, close in age to the special education students who were shot in the attack, told KABC-TV that Smith was a "good teacher".
