Bayonetta Announced for PC, Available Today

Players have been hankering for Bayonetta on PC for a while now, and Platinum have other games in their backlog that non-console owners have missed out on, the aforementioned Vanquish being among the most requested.

Bayonetta is a fast-paced action game originally released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on January 2010 and on the Wii U on October 2014. Luckily, this may not remain the case permanently, as Bayonetta developer PlatinumGames appears to have a healthy attitude about PC ports given the opportunity.

In addition, if you nab this game before April 25, you can receive the Digital Deluxe Edition for free.

Directed by Hideki Kamiya, this stylish and cinematic action game is known for outlandish finishing moves that are performed with balletic grace as Bayonetta flows fluidly from one fight to another. Additionally, Bayonetta on PC will run at 60 FPS during gameplay, and 30 FPS during cutscenes. The port is available for $19.99, and even comes with a digital OST sampler, an artbook, wallpapers and avatars. If it were up to us, we'd port all of our games to PC, but it all depends on the publishers.

Yes - Bayonetta has been optimised for PC, and includes keyboard and mouse controls. "There's more to come!"

Should you prefer Japanese voice overs, that's available as well.

While the Wii U exclusive costumes will nearly certainly not be available, there's always the chance enterprising modders can put them back in. It's great timing for those who are curious to see what has garnered PlatinumGames the reputation they now hold as masters of the modern action game.
