Park district egg hunts are this week

Plaza del Lago, 1515 Sheridan Road, Wilmette, is holding a free Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 10 and under at 9:30 a.m. on April 9.

The Easter Bunny will also stay for a short time, around 11 noon to take photos with children and hand out coupons to Wendy's and Sonic.

Egg hunts will be at 2:30 p.m. for ages 1-4, 3:15 p.m. for 1-8-year-olds and 4 p.m. for 1 and older.

Everyone should bring a basket or bag for their eggs, Ball said.

"The annual Easter egg hunt has become a favorite of Fremont and surrounding residents and their children for many years now", said Shannon Mullen, MainStreet Fremont director.

The Lions Club egg hunt will be broken down into four age groups, ranging from newborns to 12 year olds. Children search for candy-filled eggs and the elusive Golden Egg, promising a treat-filled Easter basket for the lucky winners.

Heritage Bible Chapel is hosting an Easter Eggstravaganza at the church on Brooks Station Road in Princeton on Saturday, April 15, from 10 a.m. -noon. Kids will also get a chance to interact with officers who police their area and get their picture taken with the chocolate Easter Bunny. Join the Easter Bunny for this exciting Egg Hunt. The Sunshine House has a Glow-in-the-dark Easter Egg Hunt Extravaganza 7:30 p.m. Friday night.

Should the weather hold, head outside for the Cadbury and National Trust egg hunts. The event runs from 10 3 p.m. Children can move at their own pace to collect up to 10 eggs, which will be replenished for new arrivals about every half hour.

No egg hunt will be held at Buddy Todd Park, which was the site of the city egg hunt for the past six years. The hunt will start promptly at 6:45 p.m. Mostly Keller's coupons (one can never have enough butter and/ or butter bunny sculptures) and Easter candy. There will be thousands of eggs, prizes and free hot dogs while they last.
