Manchester United to welcome back Valencia against Anderlecht

Jose Mourinho knows United have no hope of winning the Prem, making their run for the Europa League all the more crucial.

With a number of injuries to contend with at the moment, the Portuguese tactician doesn't have many options when it come to rotating his squad and has revealed that he's likely to make minimal changes to the Man Utd line-up which started at the Stadium of Light.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has given an update on goalkeeper David De Gea, who missed Sunday's match against Sunderland with a hip injury.

It could be a case of Jose Mourinho having one eye on the Red Devils' Europa League quarter-final tie against Anderlecht on Thursday.

United will make the short trip to Brussels for the first leg of their Europa League quarterfinal later this week, and both players are expected to be on Wednesday's flight. Only Valencia is the one I really expect to recover and play the next match.

"I don't believe any among the other lads will soon be prepared to play".

Sergio Romero is set to continue in goal after David de Gea missed Sunday's 3-0 Premier League win at Sunderland with a minor hip injury, while United's other absentees - Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Ashley Young, Juan Mata and captain Wayne Rooney - are all still out.

It has somewhat slipped under the radar how Romero has enjoyed something of a renaissance under Mourinho this season; under Louis van Gaal he failed to instil confidence in supporters, displaying a sense of shakiness at every turn.

"The Europa League is the contest we are able to still win, so when Sergio plays in the Europa League and when we're giving him this assurance to play, it's because we realize that his response is favorable".
