Giggs: Man United need to be more like Liverpool

"I am also heartened that the collaboration between Home United and the various MacPherson community organisations has provided this excellent opportunity to youths, for them to get up close and personal with their favourite football players".

Ryan Giggs thinks it is irrelevant whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic stays beyond the end of this season or not as Manchester United need to find other players that can step up and score goals.

The Red Devils have become increasingly reliant on star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic with the former Paris Saint-Germain man providing by far the majority of their goals so far this season, an issue Giggs feels needs to be resolved.

"The sole one I could actually say is Swansea", Giggs told the Daily Mail when asked regarding the teams he's experienced connection with. I questioned them - they've not got a centre forward who can score 20 goals. "You always need players like Jesse to support those types of players - and over the years Manchester United have had plenty of those, like a Park (Ji-sung) type. they balance off the talented players, do the (hard) work and fill in gaps". "We were here seven to eight months ago and the transformation has been brilliant in that short space of time, so yeah, we are confident that we've got the right people and it will be a success". The centre halves. Denis Irwin too. But they just come from everywhere and they are the leading goalscorers.

"You can't just rely on one person because they can have an off day".

Ibrahimovic scored again on Sunday, along with Mkhitaryan and Rashford, as Manchester United beat Sunderland 3-0.

Liverpool, meanwhile, return to top-flight action when they take on Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday, looking to bounce back from their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth in midweek. Enhanced winnings paid in free bets.
