Delta experiences cancellations, long lines at Charlotte Douglas Airport

Eight of those were to Minnesota, said Patrick Hogan, spokesman for the Metropolitan Airports Commission.
The string of cancellations has continued from when the storm hit on Wednesday, with approximately 275 flights cancelled on Saturday morning, per Delta.
The airline's travel waiver has been extended into the weekend so that customers can rebook their flights without the change fee.
While Delta sorts out the flights, officials are urging passengers to check their flight status ahead of time.
Long lines of frustrated passengers formed at the airline's busiest hub, Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
- Ever since the big storm a couple of days ago it has been a nightmare waiting game for thousands of flight travelers at the world's business airport and others nationwide. Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport has not had any cancelled or delayed flights.
"There's a ground hold at (New York's) LaGuardia so they may pull us off this plane", Goldklang told CNN from aboard a flight, her fourth attempt to get out of Savannah Friday evening. As a result, the airline had to cancel 350 flights on Saturday following three days of major storms. Goldklangs' flight finally left Savannah Friday evening for NY, 61 minutes late.
In all, they said they spent more than $3,000 on rental cars, hotels, and new tickets because of the cancellations, as well as countless hours on hold with Delta's help line.
"I'll hear about that for the rest of her life", he said.
