Pearl Jam Inducted Into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

In March, Snoop Dogg received a surprising call that he was selected to induct his late friend and "2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted" collaborator into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Journey (sort of) gave us the reunion we were hoping for on Friday. "No, for real! That's right Tupac is the one that got Snoop Dogg smoking blunts".

Steve Perry, the band's best known lead singer, later found success as a solo artist but the rest of the band soldiered on fronted by several singers before they recruited Pineda in 2007, after Schon and Cain discovered his performances of Journey songs on YouTube.
"My granddaughter had no clue who I was until I took her backstage to a Taylor Swift concert", said Baez, who added that her granddaughter took a selfie with Swift and now had "newfound respect for her grandmother".
Producer Nile Rodgers and lead guitarist of disco band Chic, who was responsible for the sheen on hits like Le Freak and We Are Family was presented with a special award for musical excellence.
Shakur, whose songs about social and racial injustice still resonate today, was only the 6th rap act to be inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in its 30-year history. Pearl Jam went on to perform on the "Late Show" many times over the course of Letterman's tenure. "I've been gone a long time, I understand that, but I want you to know that you've never not been in my heart".
