Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored eight goals in his last seven Premier League matches away from home for Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho has issued a warning to his attackers to improve their goalscoring record.
Though he has been restricted, the England worldwide has just 17 league appearances to his name this season, and his 937 minutes, a single goal and two assists in the league put him at the bottom of the ladder of United's attacking players.
Despite imminent relegation, Moyes has been backed to remain at the helm in the hope the former Manchester United manager can lead a successful promotion campaign next season.
"We have to win".
"One of Manchester United's great players told me the other day he was rich at the end of his career - now these kids are rich when they start their career". I was probably saying it before Christmas time.
"I give you a simple example". I think we can all say that with Sir Alex [Ferguson] leaving and the changes that happened after that.
"Just another trophy in the collection", he said when asked about what triumphing would mean to him.
Jose Mourinho: "I have sympathy with every manager that is fighting hard to reach their objectives".
"But everyone is a good professional, everyone gives everything, everyone fights all season - some of us we are sacked in the middle of the season".
As for Carrick himself, he has a testimonial coming up to mark his tenth year at Manchester United and with one year left on his current deal at the age of 35, the subject of his future is in the horizon.
United's best chances of securing Champions League football for next season lie in the Europa League.
United have drawn their last two league games at home, dropping four points in the process.
There have been two permanent United managers since the departure of Moyes three years ago, with Jose Mourinho the man now at the helm at Old Trafford.
"I feel fit at the moment and we've got such a busy time, I haven't really given much thought to it, I've just been playing and concentrating on what we can achieve this season".
Mourinho vented at his strikers after Man United's recent consecutive draws, against West Brom and, more recently, Everton.
Manchester United are now on a 20-game unbeaten run in the Premier League (W10 D10 L0). "But young players who come into the first team and are good enough to stay there forever are very rare".
Ibrahimovic, with 27 goals in all competitions for United this season, is a reassuring presence in an attack that is otherwise struggling.
