Annual Easter egg hunt, safety fair April 15 at Jackson Park

Inside those Easter eggs? Anyone interested in helping stuff eggs is encouraged to come to The Complex at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 12. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.in Covenant Hall.
The Easter long weekend will soon be upon us - it's time to mark your calendars and squeeze in as many of Vancouver's entertaining events as you can.
This year the organizers will be hiding between 4,500 and 5,000 eggs. Participants will search in areas designated by age group, Kerry Finsaas, the site's acting supervisor, said. The Easter Bunny will be ready for photos, and there will be special entertainment, music and extra surprises such as a visit from the Easter Panda and Smokey the Bear. He recalled one year, where they only had a 15-minute window without rain, but they still managed to make it work. Children's Pastor Corey Shadd said the "drop" is a big hit with kids and their event is free from 9:30 a.m.to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
The Mission Branch Library will hold an English story time and egg hunt at 10:30 a.m., and Spanish story time and egg hunt at 11:30 a.m. April 7.
This year the Mississippi Tobacco-Free Coalition of Alcorn and Tippah Counties will have a presence, providing Easter eggs with an anti-tobacco message.
Divided into age brackets of under four, four to six and seven to 10, every child will be able to find some eggs and have a chance to find the special ones.
The game stations will close at 11 a.m. and the egg hunt and drop will start at 11:30 a.m.

In Au Gres, the Jayden Fair Easter Bunny Breakfast and Egg Hunt are scheduled for Saturday, April 8 from 9 a.m.to 1 p.m.in the Au Gres-Sims multipurpose room.
Rocky Mount's largest Easter egg hunt is set for Sunday.

Almost 3,000 Easter eggs are planned to be filled by Builders Club students at Gering Junior High School. "By 3:05 p.m., all the eggs will be gone".
