Russia's Putin says climate change in Arctic good for economy

The Trump administration needs time to formulate its thoughts about Russia in a more precise way, but Moscow has enough patience to wait for this, Russian Presidential Spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said in an interview with ABC's "Good Morning America".

The president added: "The Democrats made up and pushed the Russian story as an excuse for running a bad campaign".

Peskov told ABC that he hopes relationships between the USA and Russian Federation improve.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has denied allegations that the Kremlin interfered in the usa 2016 presidential elections and to get his point across, referenced a quote by a US president.

Mr Putin's comments came as the US' Senate Intelligence Committee was set to begin a hearing entitled "Disinformation: A Primer in Russian Active Measures and Influence Campaigns", which will focus on understanding the method of Russia's active disinformation campaign and assess the extent of Moscow's interference.

"I think it's not in the interest of the American people to carry Russian-American relations to the point of absurdity, just to benefit the inner political agenda".

I expect that it will extend to other regions of the world, said Putin at the Arctic Territory Forum in Arjanguelsk.

"It was nothing else but slander", said Peskov on the allegations of Russian meddling.

"Watch my lips. No, '" Putin said, referring to Reagan when it was, in fact, former President George H.W. Bush who in 1988 said, "Read my lips: no new taxes".

Pelosi tells NBC's "Today Show": "We don't want people to take an immunity bath at the Congress so that the Justice Department can not make the case they may want to make against him".

Member states of the Arctic Council include Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Russia, United States and Canada.

A week after his inauguration, Trump spoke on the telephone with Putin, and both said they would work toward a face-to-face meeting.

At the Archangel forum, Putin said he will meet with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who has scheduled a trip to Moscow in early April.
