Liverpool striker Sadio Mane ruled out for the rest of the season

Mane, 24, was pictured in a knee brace days after hobbling off during the 3-1 victory over rivals Everton.

"Probably (if it was) Chelsea, for example, the opponent would not have the ball three times in the last 20 minutes I think", said Klopp when reflecting on how Bournemouth were allowed back into the game.

Liverpool fans have been reacting to the news that Sadio Mane will not play again this season.

The news on Mane will come as a major blow to Liverpool as he's been one of their best players this season having scored 13 goals as well as providing a further 8 assists so they are going to miss him during the final stages of the season.

Liverpool's German manager Jurgen Klopp reacts ahead of the English Premier League football match between Liverpool and Chelsea at Anfield in Liverpool, north west England on January 31, 2017.

The first of those games comes away to Stoke City on Saturday, with Jordan Henderson (foot) and Adam Lallana (thigh) definitely out, while there are doubts over Philippe Coutinho (illness) and Daniel Sturridge (hip).

The Reds have seen themselves drop 15 points this season from matches where they were in position to win and take all three points.

"Phil is still ill".

Belgian striker Origi says they are on course to qualify for next season's Champions League as long as they focus on the fine details of Klopp's game-plan.

"We have to get more experience in this, for sure".

"We have to sit down and see what went wrong and what was good and move forward because there are still a lot of points to play for".

" I can't imagine the last time where everybody was fit".

"It makes it interesting, for sure, but either way it doesn't make it easy for us".

"It's a hard place to go, but it's the only place we want to be at tomorrow".

"I would love to replace a player with exactly the same quality, maybe his twin", added Klopp.

"It wasn't good (against Bournemouth) but there are plenty of games left and we have to keep on fighting and believing", added the Estonia worldwide.
