Jose Mourinho defends Old Trafford record

Manchester United once again failed to win at Old Trafford on Tuesday night after they were held to a ninth home draw of the season by Everton.

While Mourinho was quick to nail down Lingard's future, the same can not be said for Adnan Januzaj, who is on a season-long loan at Sunderland. It is impossible for us to score on the counter attack this season.

"He is the guy that naturally the ball comes here, rebound here, rebounds there, boom, goal".

United have won just six of 16 league games at Old Trafford this season but Mourinho believes the way opponents have continually set up to contain proves his players are on the right track.

Parker continued: "There's playing with no fear, versus today's youngsters who think they have to go out, play well, score a few goals and immediately impress, otherwise they won't feature the week after".

Ten draws in 10 matches is 10 points; five victories and five defeats in 10 matches is 15 points.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been the only striker to really shine, but United are waiting on their 27-goal top scorer to stop stalling on a contract extension.

"We are giving the opponents' goalkeeper a chance to be so many time the man of the match and I repeat the same that I told in the last match, it's not a critic, but many, many decisions that punished us during the whole season".

"And I congratulate him and obviously the board to agree with him and to give this stability also for me because it is important for me to know that he is not in danger, that he is in a situation under our control".

And this is something which does set him apart from Lewandowski, with Ibrahimovic having created significantly more chances than the Pole and providing nearly double the amount of key passes.

Manchester United has signed 24-year-old winger Jesse Lingard to a new four-year deal, the club announced on Thursday. He's English and made in the academy - these players are very important for the club.

"One of the Manchester United great players was telling me the other day that he was rich in the end of his career and now these kids they are rich when they start their career".

And an upset is exactly what they need, with manager Moyes admitting his side now need to upset the applecart if they're catch the sides above them.
