If you've heard Iggy Azalea's new single "Mo Bounce", you know it's just asking to be used in a cardio-fitness class. Try not to nod your head to the chorus, which implores, "Bounce, b-bounce, bounce, b-bounce / Bounce, b-bounce, bounce".
Iggy Azalea found a new diet plan.
While prepping for her "Mo Bounce" music video, the rapper claimed twerking made her lose 15 pounds. There are many other hip-hop and pop stars whose names would come to mind when you say "twerk", but none induce the kind of jaw-dropping visuals that Iggy does. Then again, you may have only noticed her a$$ and her impeccable twerk skills. She also revealed that she had to undergo a lot of rehearsals which led to a loss of "15 pounds (6.8 kilos) in a week dancing to that song!"
"I went on a meal plan before the video because I knew I would have to be dancing fairly skimpily dressed", Azalea, 26, told New Zealand radio station Nova 96.9.
Accordingly, she enlisted the help of a twerking teacher to get her ready for the shoot. "I never realized how flexible you have to be to do that stuff", she explained.
It's not the first time that Azalea has flashed flesh. It was supposed to be released a year ago but was postponed due to some "personal changes" going in her life at the time.
Iggy rose to fame in 2014 after releasing the global smash hit, Fancy, and touring with Beyonce. The singer was last in Australia when she opened for Beyonce during her concert.
