Ryan says tax reform could take longer than healthcare overhaul

"First, the Trump administration needs to decide whether they want to burn down the house we're all living in through regulatory actions that will end the viability of the exchanges", said Weinberg. Spicer has also pointed out that Trump has not played golf every time he visited one of his courses, instead conducting official business in the clubhouses, such as hosting Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida and meeting with some Cabinet officials and senior staff at his Virginia golf course.

As congressional Republicans struggle for consensus on healthcare policy, one of the primary architects of that discord-the House Freedom Caucus-has publicly laid out its demands.

Specifically targeted was Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.).

Jordan was responding to a tweet on Saturday from Dan Scavino Jr, the White House social media director. "I had a very good conversation with Charlie Dent today, talking what are some, you know, are there common areas?"

"He created an official account upon entering the White House to ensure compliance with the Hatch Act and he has taken the necessary steps to ensure there is a clear distinction between both Twitter accounts".

President Donald Trump has tweeted threats of opposing their re-elections in 2018, and fellow House Republicans have accused them of inflexibility that led to the downfall of the bill to replace "Obamacare", a top GOP legislative priority.

Dangerously for Republicans, threatening to reduce federal health care aid speaks directly to voters in states that backed Trump.

In the plan put forward earlier by Senator Paul, the individual mandate would be eliminated, and the ban on insurance companies denying coverage for people with pre-existing conditions would be ended. However, Paul, an ardent opponent of the plan and a 2016 GOP primary candidate whom Trump defeated, did not attend.

In addition, party leaders hope to produce new health care legislation. Critics of ObamaCare argue that consumers are stuck with a system that is forcing prices up, and reducing options. He encouraged the conservative House Freedom Caucus, which was largely blamed for the bill's derailment, not to support the measure - much to the dismay of the administration.

Only 19 percent of responders said President Trump should do what it can to make the law fail.

However, the president now seems to be listening to what Rand Paul wants to do. Now, it will be in one form or another. But, the House Freedom Caucus also continues to ask for a repeal of community rating provisions, rules that dictate insurers can not discriminate against consumers on the basis of gender or health status. After golfing with Paul, Trump echoed Paul's optimism for a revival of the effort to kill ObamaCare and replace it, ttweeting, "Anybody (especially Fake News media) who thinks that Repeal & Replace of ObamaCare is dead does not know the love and strength in R Party!" "House Freedom Caucus members held the line, and the data show that is precisely what their constituents wanted", Wilson wrote in an analysis.

The establishment Republican leadership version of that calumny was spoken recently by Representative Kevin Cramer, Republican of North Dakota, who told the New York Times, "We have to do some soul-searching internally to determine whether or not we are even capable of functioning as a governing body..." But he added that he might still deal with the Democrats, if necessary.

Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows confirmed to CNN Monday morning that his group had still not had any formal discussions with the Tuesday group despite the fact Meadows said his group had reached out to moderates on no less than five or six occasions. He made promises after all: to repeal Obamacare, to reshape the tax system, to build a wall ... lots of things.

President Donald Trump and Republicans are still looking to work on healthcare, as they continue to be at odds with the House Freedom Caucus.

"The Freedom Caucus will hurt the entire Republican agenda if they don't get on the team, & fast".
