'Preacher' Season 2 Teaser: Are You Kids High?

The show is adapted from the popular graphic novel of the same name, created by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon. While the first season surprised fans by being mainly a prequel to the comic series, the second season promises full-blown action.

If you never read the original comic (and shame on you if you didn't), Preacher launched with a bang and never really slowed down.

Season one, comprised of 10 episodes, is now available on Blu-ray™ and DVD as well as On Demand and on AMC.com through Tuesday, April 4th - with the first two episodes of the season available unauthenticated.

By contrast, the first season of Preacher was quite the slow burn, with audiences being given lots and lots of time to get to know the cast.

Childhood friends and frequent collaborators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, who are also executive producing under their Point Grey Pictures banner, developed Preacher for television along with showrunner Sam Catlin, who's perhaps best known for his producing role on Breaking Bad.

During tonight's season finale of The Walking Dead, AMC released a teaser trailer for the second season of Preacher, and it offers us the first look at the mayhem that Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy encounter during their wild road trip to find God. Monday's teaser showed Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy driving fast, as well as running from and fighting with the various people chasing them, all while the pop song "Come on Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners plays in the background.

Preacher Season 2 starts on June 19, moving from Sunday nights to Mondays and boosting from 10 episodes to 13. Watch the season 2 trailer of the AMC series below.
