Having said in 2015 that he'd "rather slash my wrists" than play Bond again, Craig spoke more positively about his future as 007 past year.
Craig who recently starred alongside David Oyelowo in Othello, an off-Broadway production by Broccoli has been happy with the plaudits he received and it seems this has led to favorable talks between him and the Bond producer.
A Hollywood source said, "Daniel was very pleased with how Othello went and the great reviews. Now Daniel's talks with Barbara [about Bond] are going in the right direction", a source told Page Six. As for the script, written by the duo of screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade - already present on the previous films - it would already be validated.
Tom Hiddleston was announced as one of the candidates for the role of James Bond.
According to an inside source to the magazine, Barbara Broccoli have nearly convinced Daniel Craig to shoot a new film. "The production team would now only wait for Daniel Craig to start filming. I'm over it at the moment" due to the stress of filming Spectre. When asked who should take over the role, he added, "Look, I don't give a f - - k".
This could mean that if Daniel Craig does in fact commit to being James Bond one more time, there will be a movie sooner rather than later.
But apparently now he does.
"You've got to say something about Bond's place in the world, which is Britain's place in the world".
Daniel Craig will play 007 one more time, confirmed producer Barbara Broccoli. Craig quickly became a fan favorite and went on to star in three sequels (Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre), one of which is regarded as one of the best Bond films in decades.
Reps for Craig and Broccoli didn't get back to the New York Post.
