On September 7, 1996, the world was shocked when Tupac Shakur was murdered in Las Vegas after a white Cadillac pulled up to his auto and shot him four times. In a newly revealed court affidavit filed by Suge Knight's attorneys, the former Death Row Records head claims that not only does he know who killed Tupac Shakur, he also revealed that the target that evening was actually him. But that's not it - he has also revealed that his ex-wife Sharitha and former Death Row Records security chief Reggie Wright Jr. were behind it. Suge is known to say insane stuff but this is the first time he has revealed such important information about the murder.
According to the documentary, it was Knight who was the real target of that fatal shooting and that Tupac was just "collateral damage". The theory goes Wright, who oversaw Death Row while Suge was in jail, wanted total control of the label and Sharitha would gain everything else, as she and Suge were not yet divorced.
White Jr. previously denied this claim to AllHipHop and pointed out that those who tried to implicate he had something to do with Tupac's murder have all died in the past decade.
Knight, who is behind bars awaiting a separate murder trial, was grazed by glass and shrapnel as he and the 2017 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee were shot at while stopped at a traffic light.
A source added that Knight admitted to Culpepper that the theories in the movie were true.
Suge Knight has always been linked with the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed rapper Tupac Shakur.
The author John Potash wrote in his book, Drugs As Weapons Against Us, that Tupac was politicising black street gangs and this concerned the Central Intelligence Agency who then set up his murder. ("Wright Jr.) has gotten away with it this whole time". They floated a whole lot of propaganda to former LA Times reporter Chuck Phillips-calling in hundreds if not thousands of fake clues'.
"I believe in karma", he said. He said that they have all "dropped dead". I hope people learn a lesson from this'. He believes the next person could be Tupac Assassination co-director Richard Bond. 'They better stop with all this bullcrap they've been promoting, because they're all dying like flies around here'.
They later reconciled and Wednesday, but got divorced the following year with Sharitha demanding her ex pay $735,000 in unpaid child support. The book also states that Knight was the intended target on September 13, 1996.
