He thanked his mentor, Hudson, for her support.

Sir Tom will play live at Europe's largest open air theatre on Sunday July 2 for what promises to be a night to remember as he performs hits from a career spanning six decades. "The show continued as planned".

Host Emma Willis quickly took to the stage to apologize, telling viewers: "There may have been a little swear word that popped out then through excitement- apologies to anybody if they were offended".

He won praise from all the coaches, with Gavin Rossdale gushing: "You have the voice of a generation".

Judge Jennifer Hudson was the first person to get the shock, as she was seated just in front of the stage.

After winning the series on Sunday he's been signed to Polydor Records and will head straight into the studio this week to record a mini album in time for Easter.

Adeniran's stirring performance of Unsteady had Hudson struggling to contain her emotions. "We'll be seeing you soon (sic)", they wrote.

Jennifer's other act Jamie Miller finished The Voice in third place.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "My life has prepared me for this career so I am not anxious about the curse".

At the semi-final he was chosen by the public to make it to the final.

Mo's winner's single will be available to stream and download from midnight tonight on iTunes and Apple Music.
