Microsoft's Xbox Project Scorpio Might Be Unveiled Next Week

The most notable one, perhaps, is Forza Motorsport 7, which Microsoft plans on unveiling soon. It looks as if Project Scorpio's particulars could be uncovered as right on time one week from now.

Either way, Project Scorpio is slated to run at 6 teraflops (TF), putting it at a significant GPU advantage over the Xbox One, and its chief competitor, the 4.2 TF PlayStation 4 Pro.

The list of games that Windows Central obtained comes from Microsoft's marketing materials for the Xbox Project Scorpio. Would Microsoft have to modify its decision and allow exclusive titles to show all the power of Project Scorpio? The device reportedly will sport an incredibly compact design with advances in cooling.

Jez Cordon further elaborated on Project Scorpio, providing some information about the system's dev kits, and whether the system will exceed previously stated specs. The rumored date of the reveal is on April 6, but that is not yet a sure thing.

The upcoming console is said to be capable of running 4K games and its capabilities are expected to be demonstrated using "Forza Motorsport 7" and "Red Dead Redemption 2". Additional Microsoft first-party titles such as Crackdown 3 and State of Decay 2 will share 4K promotional duties with Forza Motorsport 7 - along with third-party releases like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2.

Moreover, heavy-hitting third-party titles are also coming to Xbox "Project Scorpio". While "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" was expected since it featured in the Project Scorpio trailer at E3 2016, the inclusion of "Red Dead Redemption 2" was a surprise. All of these games are now hinted to be appear on Scorpio with a solid 4K resolution.
