Palace stun Premier League leaders Chelsea with 2-1 win

Second-place Tottenham Hotspur took advantage by winning 2-0 at Burnley to trim Chelsea's lead to seven points.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte: "For sure, for you (the media) it's a good result because (it) makes this more interesting in the championship".

"In England it doesn't exist, an easy game".

Crystal Palace have increased their chances of Premier League survival and blown the title race back open after beating Chelsea 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

The loss to Tottenham in the beginning of the year was their solitary league defeat in their last 22 outings, which helped them amass a points tally.

Not too long after the equaliser, Palace struck again - in the 12th minute.

In addition to the issue of a new contract for Eden Hazard, Conte also spoke about John Terry's situation at the club. Their away record is much better than home as they've tenth-placed on the away table, while only two teams has worse home record than Crystal Palace - Middlesbrough and Sunderland. "We want to build something important for the present and the future".

Match of the Day usually put together a Facebook Live video for the running order - today they didn't, perhaps due to technical issues.

"The only thing I can say is Eden is a Chelsea player, our player", Conte told reporters on Friday.

"Don't forget there are still ten games to play and we hope to finish this season with great success".

The Premier League match between Chelsea and Crystal Palace will be broadcast live online.

Allardyce added: "It's an absolutely outstanding victory for us, particularly in the position we're in".

Chelsea: Courtois, Azpilicueta, Cahill, Luiz, Alonso (Batshuayi 74), Matic (Willian 59), Kante, Hazard, Fabregas (Loftus-Cheek 90), Pedro, Costa.

Liverpool hired a private jet to get Coutinho back from worldwide duty in good time for the match and it proved to be a worthwhile investment.

The visitors then held on to claim a fourth successive win that strengthened their bid to avoid relegation.

Palace had goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey to thank for preserving the lead as Chelsea dominated after going behind, with the defensive effort even harder because of injuries to center backs James Tomkins and Scott Dann. The Pensioners take on Crystal Palace on April 1, so don't miss a single exciting second when the game kicks off at 10:00 AM ET.
