Paul McCartney has joined the army of famous musicians who have offered up tributes to Chuck Berry, who died over the weekend (18Mar17).
Charlie Daniels called Berry "the greatest rock and roll lyricist ever". We'll miss you, Chuck.
Mick Jagger tweeted "he lit up our teenage years and blew life into our dreams of being musicians and performers".
Barack Obama also offered his condolences.

Berry was a a member of the Blues Hall of Fame, a Grammy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award victor, and one of the first inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Edwards owns Blueberry Hill in the Delmar Loop where the rock "n" roll legend performed regularly until late in his 80's.

But most of the great artists he influenced were unequivocal in their assessment: Berry started it all rolling. Dualtone says he continued to oversee production and enlisted his family and a friend to help complete it.
Comprising of ten new recordings, eight of which were written by Berry, "Chuck" is his first new album since the 1979 "Rock It", read a statement from Decca Records which is releasing it.
Berry leaves behind four children: Darlin Ingrid Berry, Aloha Berry, Charles Berry Jr. and Melody Exes Berry-Eskridge.
