A 26-year-old woman who was four months pregnant was found fatally shot in a home in the 7500 block of South Luella about noon Thursday.
Two people were killed later on Thursday when a vehicle pulled alongside a van in the South Shore neighbourhood.
Just after 11 p.m., a man and a woman were shot dead in a auto near Chicago's South Shore Cultural Center. Chicago police said Thursday several people were found fatally shot Thursday in or near a restaurant. Emanuel Stokes, 28, along with another unidentified victim were found dead inside of the restaurant. Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted that the quadruple shooting is believed to be a "gang related retaliation from another incident". She said, "I can't go on, my life is over".

"It's insane", said Rochelle Peterson, who lives in the area.

The latest convulsion of violence, which occurred over a 12-hour period in the city's South Shore neighborhood, comes as Chicago tallied almost 900 murders in the past 15 months. A man and woman were shot, police said, and the van crashed into a pole. "But seven bodies in a day". The fourth victim's name has not yet been released. Detectives have not disclosed who the actual target of the attack was, but the Jacksons' mother Dana told the I-Team Friday that her sons had been inside the restaurant getting food and were shot as they left.
According to the report, the boys' mother was seen pacing in a nearby parking lot, within view of and equal distance from her dead sons.
"There is only one place for them", Emanuel said. The woman, who was sitting in the front passenger's seat, suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and the man -who was a documented gang member - was shot in the side, according to police.
As rush hour approached, police reported a third shooting scene on the Dan Ryan Expressway near 35th Street.
