Delhi AAP MLA resigns, joins BJP ahead of civic polls

In its order, the panel, headed by former Chief Election Commissioner B.B. Tandon, had said that the AAP should be made to reimburse the expenditure since the Kejriwal government has violated the Supreme Court order of May 13, 2015.
The AAP on Tuesday said the BJP and the Congress are misleading people on the abolition of house tax by saying that it can not be done.
'I had joined the AAP with a hope that there will be some change, but I am disillusioned.
BJP Delhi chief Manoj Tiwari said the AAP government had written several times to the three corporations in the last two years asking them to strictly impose house taxes on slums.
Later, Shah, who is the MLA from Naranpura seat of Ahmedabad, will attend the ongoing Budget Session of the Gujarat Assembly on March 30, a day before the session draws to a close. Despite claims of large gathering in the demonstration by the AAP the district administration considering that the emerging outfit has little base took the event lightly and deputed only handful of police and other security personals at the demonstration site. "They do not know what is happening at the ground level", he claimed. He said that the party is still finalising the presence of other dignitaries for the function. Senior AAP functionaries like Sanjay Singh, Pankaj Gupta, Ashutosh, Kumar Vishwas and Delhi convener Dilip Pandey also figure in the list.
"You all know the results whenever efforts were made to purchase our MLAs. It is not just a battle to win the corporation, but a step towards rooting out the Aam Aadmi Party in all future elections", he said.
"BJP Goa unit would be felicitating Amit Shah on April 9 for leading the party and forming the government in four states after the recently held assembly elections", party s Goa Unit President Vinay Tendulkar told PTI today. To a question on allegations by political rivals that the AAP always announces freebies ahead of the polls, he said the Delhi government is saving money on its projects which is then spent on public welfare.
