'Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' Head Writer AD Miles to Step Down

The ride, called "Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon", will give guests the ultimate Tonight Show experience as they get to race the host through the streets of New York City via virtual reality simulator.

Hear ye, hear ye, aspiring comedy masterminds: The Tonight Show is now in the market for a head writer, as A.D. Miles and his family will relocate from NY to Los Angeles but he and Fallon are still planning to work together on an animated feature.

Miles frequently appeared in "The Tonight Show" sketches, including this one with Fallon and Justin Timberlake (l.).

Fallon will be here to celebrate the grand opening of Race Through New York Starring Jimmy Fallon at Universal Orlando Resort.

In a statement, Fallon expressed gratitude for Miles's almost decade-long work on both Late Night and Tonight. As well as head writer, Miles has appeared in numerous late-night show's popular sketches, including Ew!

The television host was instead more sentimental, saying that Miles is one of the funniest, most creative people he's ever met and that it would be a pleasure to work on future projects with him. Even as he served as head writer for Fallon, Miles recently was seen reprising the role of Gary in the Wet Hot American Summer TV series on Netflix.

Miles, meanwhile, showed off some of his trademark humor in saying goodbye to "The Tonight Show".

Jimmy Fallon has a bag of superstar tricks up his sleeve to take back his lead over Stephen Colbert, who's been kicking his butt in the ratings for eight weeks. Fallon has started to catch up-last week was his closest finish to Colbert since January 30, as he narrowed the gap to a mere 32,000 viewers-and we're guessing NBC would like that trend to continue.
