In reality, Matt and Jeff never sent the belts back.
This comes just days ahead of the company's biggest pay-per-view-of them all - WrestleMania - which is taking place at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
The Hardys will be defending the ROH Tag Team Titles against The Young Bucks at Supercard of Honor XI on Saturday in Lakeland, FL in a ladder match, but it's being reported that they won't be using their Broken Hardys gimmick for the iPPV. Especially after one of WWE's official Twitter accounts had tweeted out a video of the WrestleMania XXV match between Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy. Both are expected to return and capture the RAW tag-team titles. Only time will tell, but it certainly looks like we'll be seeing them back in a WWE ring very soon. Matt continues to claim ownership and WWE has made references to the gimmick on social media.
Earlier, it was rumored that the Hardys would instead challenge The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at 'Mania, but with Jimmy and Jey Uso now among the 30 men entering the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, that might not be an option anymore.
Reports added that that the only thing that is missing is Broken Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy to perform at the greatest wrestling phase of all - WrestleMania, reports Fan Sided.
Do YOU want to write for GiveMeSport? It remains to be seen how the WWE's involvement will affect the legal proceedings between Impact Wrestling and The Broken Hardyz, though.
