Samsung's New Galaxy S8 Phone Aims to Dispel the Note 7 Debacle

Now that Samsung is ditching its Edge brand and going all in on edge-to-edge, bezel-less displays for its flagship phone line, we'll now have to contend with what may be one of the weirdest smartphone screen aspect ratios out there. The screen covers about 20 per cent more of the phones interface, Selwyn said.

Both models have larger displays, meaning more drain on the battery.

All buttons on the front of the phone have disappeared to make way for the extended touch screen, a feature Selwyn called an "infinity display".

The Galaxy S8+ has a handsome design with an end-to-end bezel-less screen that splits over the phone's side. And at least with the Qualcomm chip set, you get Quick Charge technology for faster charging.

Amazon is just one of several Bixby partners. Both are coupled with 64GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and, just like on the previous generation, there is a microSD card slot for expansion. While markets like China and Korea, the 6GB RAM and 128GB variants will also be available.

While this can only be confirmed once the device is revealed, The Verge stated in their report that the Samsung Galaxy S8 may possess the strongest and most durable batteries ever installed in a smartphone.

The new hardware button triggers Bixby; Samsung's new virtual assistant with is capable of doing three major tasks. One is to answer users quires, second is to observe the world around you and finally the third one is to spot landmarks and find products.

The Galaxy S8 has a 12MP F1.7 rear camera, with dual-pixel sensor technology and fast autofocus to take attractive photographs even in low-light conditions.

On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front camera with f/1.7 aperture.

Samsung's Galaxy S8 will also be going up against the newest version of the iPhone, which is due out later this year. This also means that the fingerprint scanner on the device has been moved to the back panel.

While the Galaxy S8 is powered by a 3000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 Plus comes with a larger 3500 mAh battery.

With iris scanning, Samsung Pass, and the addition of software features like Secure Folder, the Galaxy S8 gives you unparalleled levels of privacy. Galaxy S8 is priced at $724.99 on BestBuy, which is around Rs 47,000.
