Vin Diesel on Paul Walker: We don't want to let him down

"The only way we were going to be able to continue this story was to explore the darker, more risky side to Dom Toretto", says Vin Diesel.

"As the world sees this movie, they'll see how it's the beginning of a new trilogy", Diesel said, adding that certain characters were brought in for this new trilogy.

A new featurette for the Fate of the Furious (the curiously titled eighth film in the Fast & Furious franchise) attempts to explain the thought process that went into making Dom Toretto turn on his "family". "There's something attractive about that".

The film stars Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Helen Mirren, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky, Scott Eastwood with Kurt Russell and Charlize Theron. Joined by Charlize Theron's villain this time around, this looks every bit the action-packed thriller we've been waiting for.

They started the preparation for Fast and Furious 8 when the Fast 7 released in 2015.

Fast 8, officially known as The Fate of the Furious, is presenting itself as arguably the craziest entry yet in the nitro-charged franchise that's been running since 2001. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® victor Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.
