"Badrinath Ki Dulhania" is the fourth Bollywood film in 2017 to cross the Rs 100 crore mark after Shah Rukh Khan's "Raees" (Rs 137.51 crore), Hrithik Roshan-starrer "Kaabil" (103.84 crore) and Akshay Kumar's "Jolly LLB 2", which minted Rs 116.92 crore after six weeks since its release.
Now here's what record breaking with Badrinath Ki Dulhania entering the 100 crore club.
Actor Varun Dhawan is on a professional high and he has reason to be so, as his latest offering "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" has nearly reached the Rs 100 crore club and audiences have been loving it. By Thursday it has collected 100.6 crores and joins into the 100 crore club.
The highlight of the film was the popular pairing of Varun and Alia (it is their third outing together after Student of The Year and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania) and its hit music. Friday 1.35 cr, Sat 2.35 cr, Sun 3.25 cr. Total: "₹ 100.74 cr.", a subsequent tweet added. The film is expected to finish after a lifetime run of Rs 110 crore nearly. But, there was a scene in the movie where Varun's character Badri is touched inappropriately and molested. Previously Alia's "2 States" and Varun's "ABCD 2" and "Dilwale" entered the coveted club. Unlike his co-star, Alia Bhatt who plans to take a break for a while to pursue other interests, Varun is already geared up for his next project.
Directed by Shashank Khaitan, "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" narrates the story of Badri who tries different methods to make ambitious girl Vaidehi his Dulhania.
