Three Intruders Killed By Broken Arrow Homeowner's Son, Deputies Say

The 23-year-old son of the homeowner fired shots from a rifle. Two of the teens were shot dead in the kitchen of the home, while another collapsed on the driveway.

The Wagoner County Sheriff's Office said the homeowner and his adult son were in the home when three males wearing masks and gloves tried to break in at about 12:30 p.m.

"Something in me knew it was gunshots, but I didn't know what had happened until I went to leave my house and saw all the police officers", a neighbor told the Tulsa World. One suspect had a knife, another carried brass knuckles.

The trio reportedly exchanged words with the 23-year-old son of the homeowner, whose name has also not been released. The homeowner's son volunteered to give a statement at the sheriff's office. She was arrested and is expected to face three charges of first-degree murder and three charges of burglary.

While authorities said the neighborhood has a low crime rate, resident Leon Simmons told CNN affiliate KTUL there have been a few burglaries in the past six months. Authorities said they could not speculate as to whether this incident was related to the others. "It's not something we're used to", he said. "It's not something we normally have".
