Thierry Henry has insisted that he is not sure he's ready to take over from Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.
Arsenal has fallen to sixth in the Premier League after losing four of its past five matches in a huge blow to their hopes of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.
"You think Wenger tells the journalists [about my future] before he tells me?"
"But it also depends on what Arsene Wenger does and they have a good relationship and maybe that is why he is waiting a bit".
Klopp's men are inside the Champions League places at present, but they are only four points ahead of Manchester United and have played two more games than their arch rivals.
Souness has now stated his belief that the absence of the 23-year-old will be a blow to the North London side but maintained that they need to continue their consistency in the Premiership if they want to achieve a top four finish.
Jurgen Klopp's side have, however, been unable to sustain a Premier League title bid after coming unstuck against teams that they would be expected to beat.
"For Arsenal, it is hard, they are not in a good moment". The last game against Manchester City was definitely on the latter list.
But it's not just upfront where a new addition would be welcomed, Arsenal could really do with a midfield general, especially if Santi Cazorla's contract isn't extended some the end of the season.
A top-four challenge at Anfield will either be built or destroyed on the success the Reds enjoy against opponents now occupying mid-table or bottom-half berths.
"The message from Wenger [must be] to say, "the season is not finished - we are six points from the Champions League [places] and we need to fight".
Liverpool and Chelsea have both eased to wins over Wenger's men in the last month or so, and the Gunners also lost at Manchester City back in December despite taking the lead.
"I want to see a good reaction and a good spirit".
