Amazon Demos Prime Air Drone Delivery at MARS 2017 Conference

Amazon has made its first public demonstration of the Amazon Prime Air Drone in the United States, the company has been testing out its delivery drones for some time. While most sellers on eBay's platform already offer fast delivery, the company has now introduced a tool for sellers which will allow them to highlight the three-day guaranteed delivery. The drone delivered a box of sunscreen bottles to a target square.

In the video below we get to see the first delivery by the Amazon Prime Air Drone in the USA, the delivery happened at an event at the company MARS conference in Florida. After the package was removed from the drone, it flew away. It marks the first time one of the online retailer's autonomous aircraft was flown for the public in the USA outside of Amazon's private property.

Several legislatures in the USA are slowly coming around to robotics. At the moment, autonomous drone delivery is still prohibited in the United States, but Amazon is working with regulatory bodies to make the service a reality.

Amazon previously said it would like to start using Amazon Prime Air by the end of 2017.
