Woman, son from Andhra Pradesh found dead in New Jersey flat

Sasikala and her seven-year-old son at their New Jersey home, the victim's parents based in Andhra Pradesh suspected that her daughter has been murdered due to an affair of their son-in-law. Sasikala who works for Cognizant Technology Solutions (CTS) and her husband have been living in USA for more than 11 years now.

The woman's husband found the bodies when he returned home from work in the evening. Hanumanth Rao works in CTS and has been living in New Jersey for nine years.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu tweeted condolences. Hanumantha Rao, a software engineer working in the U.S., was reportedly aghast to find his wife and son lying in a pool of blood in his house when he returned from work.

The investigation at the crime scene, reported that the women had been attacked with a knife as she received severe injuries on her throat.

A member of the Andhra Pradesh state legislature assembly in a phone conversation with the Telegu Association of North America said they were both strangled to death. Rao said the mother and her son were strangulated to death.

Further details on this tragic incident are awaited. Adam Purinton, a 52-year-old Navy veteran, shot dead Kuchibhotla at the Austins Bar and Grill in Olathe after shouting "get out of my country". On March 12, a Florida man reportedly set a shop owned by a person of Indian origin on fire.
