You Can Pre-Book Upcoming Tata TIGOR By Paying Rs. 5000

Tata Motors has unveiled the much anticipated Tigor compact sedan at an event in Delhi.

Kite 5 has nearly completed a year-long journey from the Auto Expo to its eminent launch though it did make numerous appearances online through spy shots and real-life pictures from motor show floors - the latest being at the recent motor show where it made its appearance as "Geneva special edition".

The Tata Tigor is the automaker's third iteration of a subcompact sedan after the Indigo eCS and the Zest. The all new Tata Tigor was previously codenamed Kite-5. The wheelbase of 2,450mm brings in more legroom for passengers. The petrol and diesel engines are the same as of the earlier release Tiago hatchback.

The Tigor will be powered by the same set of engines as seen in the Tiago - a 1.2-litre Revotron and a 1.05-litre Revotorq. Upfront, Tigor gets its design bits from Tiago, however, unlike the hatchback, the sub-4 metre vehicle is offered with a dual headlamp setup with projector beams.

Tata Motors hasn't revealed any fuel-efficiency figures as of now but both the engines, like in the Tiago, will feature dual drive modes (City and Eco). To enhance the driving experience, the vehicle is offered in two drive modes - Eco and City.

Further strengthening its product portfolio in the sub-compact sedan segment, the sub-compact sedan is the third product which will be based on IMPACT design philosophy.

The TIGOR is an all new offering from Tata Motors and the third product embodying the auto maker's Impact Design philosophy. At the rear, the "Styleback' features LED taillights and LED stop lamp strip above the rear windshield". The Tata Tigor is slated for launch at the end of this month but as it comes to the market it will have to compete with the newer models upcoming models. The Tigor also gets automatic climate control, an additional 12V charging point for rear passengers and rear armrest with cupholders.
