No truth in Tuchel to Arsenal reports

It's reported that Wenger has made a decision to extend his stay at the Emirates Stadium by a further year and the poor form has only pushed the Frenchman closer to penning a new deal, as he's determined to turn things around.

Arsenal are out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage for the seventh year in a row and were dumped out in the most humiliating way possible, 10-2 on aggregate against Bayern.

Speaking after the game, Wenger said he had made up his mind about his future and would make his intentions public "very soon".

"It's a dictatorship and he surrounds himself with yes men", Sutton added.

Wenger's contract is due to expire at the end of the season and it remains to be seen if he will agree to a new deal.

But Giroud said the Arsenal players are united in a desire for Wenger to return for the 2017-18 season.

West Brom manager Tony Pulis claimed after the Baggies' 3-1 win over Arsenal on Saturday that Wenger revealed to him he is eager to carry on in charge of the North London club.

"Do the right thing and if you're not going to do the right thing then tell us".

"We want to see Arsene Wenger sign an extension, to continue the adventure, because we support him", Giroud told French media.

Arsenal, sixth in the table, are 19 points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League and their last realistic chance of winning a trophy this season is the FA Cup.

"We hope we can win the cup and that Arsenal qualify for the Champions League", the France worldwide told Canal Plus.

They face Manchester City in the semi-final at Wembley on Sunday, 23 April (15:00 BST).
