Now that we've all just about got our breath back from that Manchester City v Liverpool encounter, it's time to take a glance back at the weekend learnings.
The first half ended goalless but both teams had penalty shouts waived off by referee Micheal Oliver. As the shadow of Gabriel Jesus looms large over the frontman's situation at the Etihad, Aguero's second half goal was a timely reminder of his poaching abilities.
Jurgen Klopp has claimed there is nobody better than him to be Liverpool manager and called for patience as he looks to build a team that can challenge for the Premier League title.
"You can lose games but when you look back on the games you lose you must be, "Okay we lost but we did everything to win it". My players put everything on to the pitch.
Unsurprisingly, City responded with an attack of their own as the clock rolled into stoppage time, Aguero showing an unusual lack of composure as he volleyed over following De Bruyne's cross.
Supporters of both Liverpool and Manchester City have to content themselves with a share of the spoils as poor finishing cost both sides the opportunity to pick up valuable points.
Beating Middlesbrough 3-1 on Sunday was another step in the right direction in the overall table but also for their excellent away record which reads eight wins, three draws and two defeats.
"He celebrates goals much better than me, he hugs his players better than me. It could have proven to be the victor and it was a big moment in the game", the former Southampton man added.
Ahead of the Liverpool vs Manchester City Premier League clash, defender Ragnar Klavan said that he is not afraid to play the game against Manchester City and that forwards like Aguero do not scare him.
"There is one outstanding, consistent side this year and they will be champions probably", Klopp said.
Liverpool have been more flip-flop than a penguin on thin ice.
As it is, the reds have gone through the season unbeaten against all the top six sides and their performances against those have been on the whole impressive.
"Then at any point throughout the season the managers can speak to us at PGMOL, they can speak to the Premier League who will then enter into dialogue with them".
In what was an indicator of West Brom's tactics in their win over the Gunners, they had only 23 percent of the possession and yet this was not a smash-and-grab.
There should have been more goals.
A Tony Pulis victory never truly goes out of style, ever.
