Conor McGregor reveals how Floyd Mayweather feels about super fight

On St. Patrick's Day, "The Notorious" was in NY at Madison Square Garden as he walked out fellow Irishman Michael Conlan for his professional boxing debut.

Another day, another released tidbit about the potential Floyd Mayweather - Conor McGregor fight.

"Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that". Nobody in this boxing game knows what's coming. When I step in there, I'm going to shock the whole goddamn world. "In MMA or boxing, there is always that puncher's chance", said Duffy.

But the UFC star reckons the boxer is running scared. Twenty-eight years of age, confident as a m**********r, long, rangy, unsafe with every hand.

"I've tried to talk to Floyd".

The Dubliner was in the Big Apple for Michael Conlan's professional boxing debut and stayed on in the city after claiming he is ready to "shock the whole goddam world".

Mayweather has never even lost as a pro, let alone been knocked out, winning all 49 of his career fights. As noted by Bleacher Report, Mayweather's last 14 fights have been held in the Las Vegas metropolitan area, making his supposed preferred venue for the potential fight with Conor McGregor a surprising pronouncement. UFC president Dana White recently said he expects the bout to take place, and a few dates have been reported as possible options. McGregor, however, seems to be shooting for later in the year, and FOX Sports reported that the fight could happen on september 16. How he made [Manny] Pacquiao look, and Pacquiao's one of the best boxers we have seen in a long time, I think that just proves the level he's at. "That's what the word is. We're very close to inking it, I'm not going to say no more, we're very close that's it". I want to give people the spectacle: the MMA world vs. boxing world. He's petrified. Wouldn't you be?

Still, it's promising that they both seem on board with the plan and are willing to make the fight happen.

"Firstly we need to agree a fight and then after we can agree on a place", said Mayweather".

McGregor, the reigning UFC lightweight champion, is now pursuing a boxing match with the five-weight world champion.
