Massive manhunt for gun-wielding teacher who abducted 15-year-old student

After being suspended, Cummins took to Instagram, posting things like "It was love at first sight" and "Something attractive is on the horizon", leading many to wonder, what happened during those 14 days when Cummins and Thomas were at school together? Authorities have confirmed the former teacher took out several loans totaling approximately $4,500.

The former health teacher at the Culleoka Unit School allegedly met Thomas through the local chapter of HOSA, an worldwide student organisation that promotes career opportunities in the health care industry.

The TBI said Saturday: 'The low number of tips, combined with the limited resources Cummins is believed to have in his possession, leads investigators to believe he may be keeping her out of view of the general public.

District Attorney Cooper said the teen has not tried to contact any of her family since Monday when she went missing.

A former Tennessee teacher has been added to the state's "Top 10 Most Wanted" list after being charged with aggravated kidnapping in the disappearance of a 15-year-old girl.

Thomas was last seen at the Shoney's in Columbia when a friend dropped her off. Cummins was spotted next door at a gas station filling up his 2015 silver Nissan Rogue. They say they suspended Cummins on February 6 for insubordination.

"The district does not tolerate any manner of behavior that is alleged in this incident and will take swift action to remove parties from school campuses who are involved with investigations of this type", the statement said.

The license plate number for Cummins' auto is 976ZPT, but law enforcement officials believe the vehicle may have been abandoned at this point.

She is 5 feet 5 inches inches tall and weighs 120 lbs., with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Tad Cummins is described as a 50-year-old white male with brown hair and brown eyes. However, despite receiving hundreds of tips, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has not received any credible tips about the teen's whereabouts in almost one week.

In a Friday news conference, Tad's wife Jill Cummins begged her husband to bring Elizabeth back unharmed and to turn himself into authorities. This is not who you are.

"I want you to come home, because we all love you". No matter how far you've gone or what's happening right now, God's grace is sufficient for you and He wants you to come home.

Unfortunately, neither Elizabeth nor Tad have responded to the pleas. If you spot the vehicle and can verify the license plate to be TN 976-ZPT, call 911 immediately. Thursday, they issued a nationwide be-on-the-lookout alert. They are also concerned that he carefully planned the abduction and may intend to harm the teen.
