RFA receiver Adam Thielen agrees to deal with Vikings

He finished the season with 69 catches for 867 yards and five touchdowns.

It's for a total of $17 million total, but it can reach $9 million per year with incentives.

Adam Thielen and the Minnesota Vikings reportedly agreed to terms on a new contract Wednesday after he experienced a career year in 2016.

The move comes days after former Vikings receiver and Pro Bowl kick returner Cordarrelle Patterson left the Vikings for the Oakland Raiders in free agency.

It's a cool moment for Minnesota and Thielen, considering the 26 year old was born in Detroit Lakes and has been a Vikings fan his whole life.

Stefon Diggs has gotten more press as a fantasy football darling, but Thielen will likely be Sam Bradford's top target next season.

His ability was on full display in Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers, when Thielen flourished with 12 catches for 202 yards and two touchdowns.

Thielen is entering his fourth season after playing in college at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
