Matthew Perry beat up Justin Trudeau in 5th grade

Friends star Matthew Perry has revealed he once beat up Justin Truseau, the Canadian prime minister.

Check out the full video of Perry talking about the incident below!

"My friend Chris Murray, who was also in the fifth grade in Canada, reminded me that we actually beat up Justin Trudeau".

Perry said he had forgotten about the altercation until a friend jogged his memory, before stressing that it was something he was "not proud of".

Trudeau wasn't just some dude in school, either.

"I have a story about him that I'm not proud of", he recounted on the Jimmy Kimmel Live talk show. "I think he was excelling in a sport that we weren't as [good at]". The actor also said that it could have been out of pure jealousy.

According to BBC, Justin and Matthew both lived in Ottawa while Justin's dad, Pierre Elliott Trudeau, was prime minister.

Perry, who came to fame playing the awkward, sarcastic and amusing character Chandler Bing on Friends, also lived in the Canadian capital with his mother, who was a journalist and served as a former press secretary to the elder Trudeau. "And, you know. we beat him up".

We've yet to hear from Trudeau on the subject so I think it would be Perry's word against the Prime Minister's. "I think he said, you know, 'I'm going to rise above this and I'm going to become prime minister!'"

Asked if he's encountered Trudeau since ascending to Prime Minister status, Perry unfortunately replied no, saying: 'I feel shame, I don't want to think about it'.
