System Shock 3 Could Be Coming To Xbox One Thanks To Starbreeze

To be exact, the rumors surrounding System Shock 3 started doing the rounds way back in 2006 after EA, the previous game's publisher, had their rights to the title renewed. Starbreeze, which has developed Payday 2, has announced that it signed a deal with the developer to publish the game for "PC and other platforms".

"System Shock 3" has been confirmed to launch on PC and other platforms.

We already know that System Shock 3 will be helmed by the first game's producer, Warren Spector, and will once again feature the vocal talents of Terri Brosius as its iconic villain, the artificial intelligence known as Shodan.

"System Shock 3 - The latest in the series of landmark, award-winning games from Otherside Entertainment is in development under the direction of industry legend Warren Spector and a dream team behind such ground breaking games including the original System Shock & System Shock 2, as well as Thief: The Dark Project and Deus Ex". "I'll be first in line to play".

Though Otherside has a less stellar portfolio (Underworld Overlord) than Starbreeze (Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, John Wick in VR), CEO Paul Neurath has stated they are very much looking forward to working together.

Are you excited that System Shock 3 will come to most platforms?

Under the terms of the agreement, Starbreeze will be able to recoup 120 percent of its full investment including marketing costs. Do you have any fond memories of the original games? However, the announcement of Starbreeze's association with the game that has been in development for a while strengthens faith in the upcoming entry. Otherside Entertainment will retain 100 percent control of the System Shock 3 IP.
