Lukaku wants 'escape clause' from Everton

According to calciomercato.it, the Belgian striker would be on the Milan hit-list this summer, after reports that he has refused to sign a contract extension with the Merseyside club.

According to Het Belang Van Limburg, Lukaku is going against the advice of his agent Mino Raiola, who wants him to sign a new, lucrative contract with Everton.

Lukaku, who has been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United, has scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Toffees so far this season.

However, Sky Sports have now claimed that the striker will not sign a new deal at Goodison park.

The exorbitant price tag easily trumps Everton's record-breaking fee of almost £36 million, but Chelsea have shown time and again that they're willing to spend money to win trophies. I think the Everton fans should remain calm.

Everton head of recruitment Steve Walsh will have a big job on his hands if Romelu Lukaku decides to walk through the exit doors of Finch Farm this summer.

That would put the 23-year-old out of the price range of all but Europe's wealthiest clubs.

Blues boss Antonio Conte is in the hunt for a new striker and has been heavily linked with a bid to take Belgium global Lukaku back to Stamford Bridge.

However, latest reports reveal that Lukaku won't renew his contract and both the Premier League giants are ready to pounce on the opportunity of signing him.

Because Moshiri can offer all the money he wants but he can't magically provide Champions League football - for 12 months at least.

If there's one silver lining for Everton, it's that they're in a strong position in the transfer market.
