Lambert adds new flight to San Diego on Alaska Airlines

Alaska Airlines and the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority announced Wednesday that the airline will add six new nonstop destinations this year from the San Diego International Airport. Alaska now provides daily nonstop service to Portland, OR (PDX), and Seattle, WA (SEA) from Omaha.

It will soon be easier for New Mexicans to fly to San Diego. Alaska's also announced a major social media contest in all new markets including St. Louis.

The Omaha airport is getting another flight to the West Coast.

The first new flights will start in late August, by which time Alaska will be offering 40 daily departures to 28 destinations from San Diego. The flight to San Diego will leave Omaha at 3:05 p.m. and arrive at 5:05 p.m.

Alaska Airlines announced new service between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and San Diego beginning December 15, 2017.

Flights will be available for purchase beginning March 15, 2017 through Alaska Airlines' website, or by calling 1-800-ALASKAAIR.
